Salterns Chalet Bungalows
Salterns family bungalows and houses are set in peaceful, rural surroundings next to the sea and abounds the Hershey nature reserve and lake.
Plenty of open space for relaxing and playing games. There is a shop, games room, launderette, baby/toddler bathroom and a putting green. There is adequate car parking facilities and both parks are traffic free except on the days of arrival and departure. The resident caretaker is on hand to help you.
The big advantage at Salterns is the acres of space for the kids to play their traditional pursuits like flying kites where they can run and be free and safe. At the same time it offers parents the opportunity to enjoy some real relaxation and tranquility for themselves.
This family section of Salterns has 52 bungalows and houses comprising of 4 berth, 5/6 berth, 3/4 berth Superior & 6 berth en-suite. The adult only section at Salterns Beach comprises 24 x 4 berth 2 bedroom chalets.

Seaview
At the eastern end of Ryde sitting comfortably along the coast, lies the unique village of Seaview, aptly named for its extensive outlook of the Solent. A busy sailing centre in the summer, Seaview offers safe sandy beaches ideal for windsurfing, swimming and paddling. In the High Street and nearby are many good shops, cafes and restaurants and within a few miles of the village there are several riding stables, golf courses and a wildfowl and bird park.
Bembridge / St Helens
Situated on the most easterly point of the Isle of Wight, lying beneath the headland of Culver is the village of Bembridge. Once cut off from the rest of the Island Bembridge was connected by an embankment built in the mid - 1800's and since then has grown rapidly, so much so that today it can lay claim to be the biggest village in the UK. It has a good mix of shops, pubs, restaurants and art galleries and is a popular sailing centre with a delightful harbour and pleasant beach with rock pools. It is also home to The National Trust Windmill, the only one to survive on the Island and Bembridge Airport, the only hard surfaced runway on the Island, which is open to the public 7 days a week throughout the year.
St Helens lies in a coastal position between Bembridge and Seaview. The Village Green is the centre of village life, providing cricket and football pitches, children's playground and seats, as well as views right across Bembridge Harbour, it also plays host to the annual carnival, which takes place in August. A short walk down to The Duver, a spit of shingle and sand, will present you stunning views of the Solent and St Helens Fort.
Isle of Wight

Getting to Isle of Wight:
With up to 350 ferry crossings a day, it's simple to travel to the Isle of Wight, and once you are there, it's even easier to get around.
Only 2 hours from London, ferry routes connect directly with road, rail and coach links to whisk you off to your Island destination. Enjoy a leisurely crossing by car ferry or catch a high-speed passenger ferry for a swift arrival. If you are not bringing a car with you, once ashore you can take advantage of the Island's comprehensive network of buses, which are especially geared towards visitors
Getting around:
All parts of the island are easily accessible by car, bus or even the comprehensive network of footpaths. The 'Rover' tickets are an excellent way to explore the island.

Ryde - The largest town on the Island, Ryde has fine Georgian and Victorian buildings, lively pubs and restaurants, seafront promenade, a marina, great nightlife and entertainment.
Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary – over 200 donkeys and other animals have been rescued and given a permanent home to enjoy the remainder of their lives.
