You will get an impression of the peace and tranquility generated by the Highlands and at the end of your visit you will be physically and mentally refreshed, fully endorsing the old Highland salute: 'Haste ye back' Lochside Cottage is ideal for large families of group up to 10 people and wonderfully located in its own secluded grounds in a private estate which provides a wide range of on-site facilities. The cottage is situated only 20 metres from the shore of Loch Katrina which is well stocked with rainbow trout. Weekly fishing permits are available in season and two rowing boats are provided free of charge (subject to availability). The nearby chalet park, beautifully situated in natural woodland, has a bar / restaurant and children’s play area which holidaymakers are welcome to use. | Location Situated in an ideal exploring and touring location for the Highlands. Visit the far North or make a trip to the Isle of Skye and be back at night in this sheltered and peaceful retreat. Lots to see and do, for every age and at any time of year. This part of the north of Scotland has a host of attractions: visit Loch Ness, go and see the fishing villages and the dolphins on the Black Isle, watch the salmon leaping at the Falls of Shin or what about visiting Dunrobin Castle and the gardens, while glorious beaches are only half an hour away. You will experience old fishing villages, castles, deer, dolphins, wild goats, forests, lochs and endless moors only populated by sheep and islands where tens of thousands of seabirds have their nesting sites. It is within easy distance to make a trip to Inverness or the Great Glen or you can “do” a whisky-trail . You can visit Highland Games of which about forty take place each summer.
