- Oban is a bustling holiday town & Gateway to the Isles; from here you can take a Calmac Ferry to many islands including Mull, Iona, Tiree, Colonsay & Barra
- Keep fit or go swimming at Oban's very own Atlantis Leisure
- Visit the local distillery & taste the local "Oban Whisky"
- Visit the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary or the Oban Rare Breeds Park
- Enjoy the thrills of a Sea Fari Adventure - a high speed rib which leaves from Easdale, look out for dolphins & seals at play

- Glencoe is only 4 miles away & provides an awe inspiring trip through its central valley, it is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Make sure to visit the Clachaig Inn, world famous for its stunning views & excellent food
- Ardnamurchan, the most westerly point in Europe is just a short ferry ride away.
- The Road to the Isles from Fort William to Mallaig is a route steeped in history & you can end your trip with a journey on the Jacobean Steam Train
- Arduaine Gardens (National Trust for Scotland), a site of beautiful natural beauty along the west coast
- The Falls of Lora, situated six miles North East of Oban on the West Coast of Scotland are Britain's only tidal cascade
- The village of Ardgour, 30 miles away on the western shore of Loch Linnhe

Some sporting ideas...
- The West Highland Way Walk from Glasgow to Fort William is very well known & a great introduction to hill walking. It passes through Glencoe & Ben Nevis including Glen Nevis. Numerous local walks
- The Glencoe and Ben Nevis areas are the most popular areas in Scotland for hill walking & mountaineering. Glencoe with its fabulous hills is a true adventure playground for all sort of outdoor pursuits whilst Ben Nevis of course boasts the highest mountain in Britain & can be explored via a gondola style cable car.
- The new cycle path from Oban to Ballachulish has been constructed along coastal routes for exquisite waterfront scenery
- Sea fishing available along the shore beside your lodge on private pier
- Freshwater fishing available nearby (permits required and can be arranged)
- Local boat hire available at Linnhe Marine
- By prior arrangement, free mooring is available for sailing boats at the adjacent Holly Tree Hotel's slipway. There is an anchorage in Kentallen Bay for larger boats.
- Dragons Tooth 9 hole golf course at Glenachulish (2 miles), 18 hole courses at Oban & Fort William
- Horse riding at Lettershuna, Appin (9 miles).
- Skiing is very well catered for with both the Glencoe & Aonach Mhor ski resorts both a twenty minute drive away. Ski hire is available in both ski resorts & daily ski weather reports are on the notice board at the Holly Tree Hotel.
- Snow boarding & sledging is also available & ski tuition is also available on the nursery slopes.
- Indoor climbing centre complete with artificial ice climbing walls at 'The Ice Factor' at Kinlocheven.
- There is a reef about one hundred yards from shore which is a recognised and interesting dive site. Many divers us the slipway adjacent to the lodges to dive this.
